CROWD SOURCING 2020 - 2022

These times demand all of our resources and push us to examine our decisions both as an individual and communally.  The Ancient Psalms start each of these drawings as a point of reflection asking questions of death, destruction, harmful intent, protection, and grace.  Fire informs and shape wood matches, graphite pencils, inks, ash, paper and wooden panels in this series.   Many elements such as Copper horse nails that mount the paper drawings to the wooden panels are sourced materials from ancient text that informs the narrative.

I find, responsibility and choice are threaded through this ancient text and ask questions of our humanity and ask for decisions that are in our path. Questions of political power, vast non-essential consumption, and plastic waste raise anew the spectrum of evil.

These drawings offer the viewer insight into our capacity to bring light or destruction.
